The Power to Rebuild
Dir. Maya Lilly | 9 min. | 2022
Synopsis
When Navy medic Kenneth Morgan returned home to Detroit, it reminded him of a war zone. Kenneth struggled with PTSD — and Detroit homeowners struggled to stay in their homes.
Then life-long Detroiter Gloria Jean Lowe began working with Kenneth and the city's other veterans to make homes greener, more energy efficient and affordable.
To their surprise, the veterans discovered that building green helped them in ways they could have never imagined.
